Dissemination and Awareness (WP8)
The goals of this work package are:
- To make the “external world” aware that this is probably the most important effort worldwide to allow cross lingual access to digital catalogues
- To impose some data definition and programmatic interfaces as de facto standards to promote the aggregation of digital libraries
- To manifest the excellence of the project and the quality of the delivered platform in order to facilitate the marketing action of the EEIG (cf. Business activities work package)
- To disseminate the scientific results of the project.
In order to achieve the above objectives the channels will be:
- Standard channels of relevant scientific communities (NLP community and above all Digital Libraries community)
- Project Web site: besides been indexed by all major search engines the project web site will be the object of a campaign for acquiring a better visibility on the net
- Product Web Site: after the first year of project a web site will be launched with the goal of describing the product of the project, not the project itself
- European Commission Dissemination Services
- Periodic 6 month newsletter
- Presence in major fair trades in the field of IT support to (digital) libraries
- Production of marketing material such as brochures and PowerPoint presentations (since the very beginning of the project) and commercial flyers (since the first year of activity)
