Business Activities (WP7)
This work package is mainly devoted to plan and initiate a business activity focussing on the results of the projects. Its main goal is to create the premises for a successful continuation of the activities after the funding period. In order to achieve this result it is fundamental to start exploitation operations already during the project lifecycle, namely since month 12, once the first version of the system has become available.
The partners of the consortium plan to set up an EEIG as the type of society more suitable for unitary exploitation. The basis of the new society is the business plan (with market study), to be delivered at month 12. The business plan is in itself based on the user requirement document produced by all the involved libraries. Marketing product related activities starting since month 24 will be of course funded directly by the EEIG, not via commission funding. Nevertheless, as a business plan is not a static document but a roadmap in continuous evolution, a second user requirements /user validation document is expected by month 15. This second document will focus both on further desiderata emerged during the period of actual use of the system at libraries premises and on the new functionalities which where not included at month 12. This document will lead to the last version (not final) version of the business plan.
